Comets’ 3-Point Barrage Too Much for Wildcats

The St. Thomas Comets delivered a strong showing on their home floor Monday night, using sharp defense and a barrage of three-pointers to notch wins in both the 7th and 8th grade matchups against the Beverly Manor Wildcats.

In the 7th grade game, St. Thomas set the tone early by holding Beverly Manor scoreless in the opening quarter and taking a 16–7 lead into halftime. The Comets spread the scoring across five different players in a balanced offensive performance before closing out the win.

The 8th grade contest quickly turned into a showcase of perimeter shooting. The Comets knocked down 9 three-pointers as a team, with several players contributing to the long-range barrage: Kepple (3), Madrigal (3), Cowan (2) and Atkins (1).

While Caleb Whitten led the Comets with 15 points, St. Thomas got production up and down the lineup, including Cruz Madrigal (13), Colton Kepple (9), Jax Cowan (6), Bryan Le (4), Caden Atkins (6), and Jack Gebhards (4).
